last night’s show at the bit saloon (located in beautiful-ish ballard) was a rousing success. thanks to all of you who showed up; we couldn’t have done it without you.

in other news, the album is almost done. we’re in the final stages of mixing, to be finished midweek. the album is still slated for a june release, and the single a bit sooner.

also, mark your calendars for june first at studio seven. we’ll be opening for the amazing tub ring and locals hunab ku. we’d love for you to come out! make sure to bring your earplugs.

big news for those who like good music:

Substandard will be releasing the first single from their self-titled debut album on may 13 for the song “walking so fast“.  To not be redundant, I am telling you the exact date of release.  This release will be most likely be available exclusively through us here or on www.gayfordragons.com.  it will also be available at shows.  this cd will be $5.

The album itself is slated for release on june 10.  it will be available in stores as well as here and on the label site and will cost you ten of your dollars.

besides that, we have other things in the works. secret things, free goodies and stuff.

i have a quick announcement to make: our first single, Walking So Fast, will hit the streets in about two weeks. it has two tracks from the album, plus an acoustic version of Idiot Stain and an exclusive track called This Divorce Is An Abortion.

we’ll have a store set-up soon, too, so you’ll be able to buy physical copies of the album and single and have them shipped to your door OR digital copies in a delectable bit rate.
